This Privacy Policy describes how the Cram Lock iOS application ("the App"), developed by Mack Ortis, handles your information. The short version: Cram Lock does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data.
Cram Lock does not require you to create an account. There is no sign-up, no login, and no user profile. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any other identifying information.
The App does not collect any data about you or your use of the App, and it does not transmit any data to us or to any third party. The App contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not have servers that receive information from the App.
Everything the App creates or uses — including your flashcards, decks, study progress, and settings — is stored locally on your device only. This data is never uploaded, synced to our servers, or shared with anyone. If you delete the App, this data is deleted with it.
Cram Lock uses Apple's Screen Time framework, specifically the FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity APIs, to block the apps you select until you answer a flashcard. To do this, the App asks for your permission to use Screen Time. When you grant it:
You can revoke Screen Time permission at any time in the iOS Settings app under Screen Time. Doing so will stop the App from blocking apps.
Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple's App Store and processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details. Apple's handling of purchase information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Because the App collects no data, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else.
If our data practices ever change, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
